Furnishings Home is bringing you the Europe's
enchanting furnishing designs created by Marimekko
Corporation, Finland. The collections contain many products suited
to the interiors of public facilities. These include curtain and upholstery
fabrics, table-setting products, bedclothes, and textiles for saunas and
bathrooms.
Bathroom
Marimekko's high-quality terrycloth products are
made of pure cotton. The range of products includes towels of different sizes,
bathrobes, slippers, wash mitts and bath mats in both pattern and
single-coloured terrycloth. The patterns and colours of Marimekko's cosmetics
bags have also been designed to match the bathroom textiles.
Marimekko's bedclothes
collection contains patterns and colours for all tastes. There
are romantic and ornamental prints, crisp
geometric patterns, new designs, and classics, such as Maija
Isola's Unikko and Lokki or Fujiwo Ishimoto's striped patterns
Korsi and Ujo. The duvet covers and pillowcases are made from
high-quality 100 per cent cotton. The bed linen has been
awarded the Öko-Tex Standard 100 environmental certificate,
ensuring that no noxious chemicals were used in the
manufacture of the products. Some of the patterns in the
collection are also available in quilted bedspreads.
Marimekko has folders,
notebooks and mouse pads in different styles to brighten
up the study. The largest range of products is available in
the ever-popular Unikko pattern, followed by the modern
Hetkiä/Moments designed by Maija Louekari. There are also
mouse pads in the fun Lisko pattern by Antti Eklund, and
in Keisarinkruunu pattern by Maija Isola.
A happy mood for nurseries
and children's rooms is provided by a variety of colourful
Marimekko fabrics, and duvet covers and bedspreads of the
Mini-Unikko and Pikku Bo Boo series. Both series
also include bibs, mugs, plates, trays and aprons. Oiva
Toikka has made Opari, a reduced version of his Afrikan
kuningatar (Queen of Africa) children's fabric pattern. In
addition to oilcloth and cotton fabrics, Opari also appears in
bed linen, tableware and other kitchen products. There are two
colourways: light blue and pink.
